Brunswick, Ga. - Several members of the new College of Coastal Georgia cheerleading squad volunteered to work a cheerleading camp this past Saturday held by the Glynn County Recreation and Parks Department.

The camp included roughly 40 cheerleaders ages 4-14. The Mariner cheerleaders led the camp, teaching the partipants some of their cheers and the motions that go with them. The Coastal Georgia cheerleaders also worked with the campers on cheer jumps, stunting techniques and other skills.

The Mariners squad also spend time doing crafts with the campers.

"The event was a huge success, and we really enjoyed working with all the cheerleaders who came out for the day," said Coastal Georgia coach Kimberly Matthews.

Each camper paid $15 to participate in the camp. All proceeds benefitted the county youth programs.
