St. Simons Island, Ga. – The College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team settled for an eighth-place finish Tuesday at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational played at the King and Prince Golf Course.
The No. 25 Mariners finished with a 678 team score that included rounds of 334 and 344.
SCAD-Atlanta took home the team championship as it posted a 641 score with rounds of 324 and 317 which tied for the low round of the event.
Cumberland, which led after the first round, finished second at 645 with scores of 320 and 325.
Thomas University and Southeastern – a pair of Sun Conference teams – tied for third at 648 while St. Andrews rounded out the top five at 650.
Lydia Randell from St. Andrews claimed the individual titile. She finished with a 150 score that featured rounds of 76 and 74. Bria Sanders from SCAD-Atlanta and Hannah Sager from Faulkner tied for second at 155.
For Coastal Georgia, Niquole Mangal was the high-finisher as she finished tied for sixth overall at 159. Mangal posted scores of 79 and 80. Fellow freshman Ana Mashevsky tied for 26th as she shot 86-81-167.
The Mariners are off until March 4 when they play at Webber International.
